Shati itu band POP (hehehe... jangan bilang najis mah gwah yah. Soalnya gwah emang suka banyak aliran musik, alias ndak pilih2 aliran musik. Biarin situ mau ngatain gwah not cool :P).

Ini Poppies (Foto dari kiri ke kanan - Ting Plung, Wondo, Ulil). Poppies itu nama band yang dibuat mendadak, gara-gara ada A Mild Live Wanted 2008. Namanya aja Poppies, aliran musiknya sudah pasti 'Pop' dong. Hihihi... Sekitar seminggu sebelum Audisi A Mild Live Wanted, kita punya niat buat 'coba-coba' ikut. Lhoh! Kok cuman coba-coba? Apa ndak serius? Klo ngomong masalah serius ato ndak, sama sekali no comment. Yang penting bisa 'tampil', dan bisa gawe orang2 yang nonton menikmati musik yang kita bawain, sanajan kita blm bisa tampil maksimal karena pengalaman 'tampil' juga cuman sedikit. Yang jelas, kita suka sama musik kita dan syukur, banyak temen yang suka sama musik kita juga. Setelah ngirim CD ke AMLW, ternyata Poppies masuk 47 besar dari Solo dan kita ikut audisi. Tapinya waktu audisi, kita ndak masuk final, tapi gara2 panitianya temen sendiri dan 'sungkan' mengeliminasi kita, akhirnya kita bisa lolos ke babak berikutnya. Hehehe... Kita curang ya? Hahahaha!!! Yo cuek wae lah... Kemampuan musik kita ndak seberapa, tapi kita tetap terus maju dan berkarya.

Ini foto diambil di dalam mobil sebelum kita ke HAILAI. Cerita tentang persiapan kita ke AMLW, rasanya sama sekali ndak begitu berat. Soalnya kita semua serba santai. Kita nyelesain 3 lagu yang disetor ke AMLW cuma selama 3 hari sebelum batas pengiriman. Dan kita cuma latian 2 kali sebelum tampil di HAILAI, dan sempat bingung sama format band yang cuma 3 orang aja. Huduuhhh... walhasil akhirnya kita memutuskan tampil bertiga tanpa embel2 additional basis dan gitaris. Mengingat persiapannya mendadak, milih safe aja. Tampil bertiga dengan persiapan yang minim pun, belum pasti bisa tampil safe. Masa bodo cah, yang penting bisa tampil. Horeeeeeeee!!!! (Lho??!)
Dan kalau mau ngomong jujur, baru kali ini kulo tampil dengan wardrobe yang bukan milik sendiri dan didandani sama make up artist yang handal. Hihihi... Thanks to ma sista Siska yang syudah bersedia nyediai wardrobe dan me-make-up kita dengan imut. Kita jadi tambah muda... kayak anak-anak SMP... :D (Padahal wong tuwek-tuwek)...

Setelah sampe di HALAI, tanggal 10 Februari 2008, jamnya lupa, yang jelas masih siang hari (duoh guobloki!), kita ndak langsung tampil, soalnya masih antri nunggu giliran. Sempet mikir juga setelah lihat band2 yang lain tampil. Huih, gila, mereka hebat2, dan yang pasti, lebih hebat dari kita. Tapi kita sama sekali ndak minder sama sekali ramikir opo-opo, soalnya kita terlalu excited keburu pingin 'manggung'. Huhuhu...Ugh... gitu deh pokoknya. Grogi pora? Huaduh!!! Jelas grogi dunk... Si Ulil grogi, soalnya dia jarang tampil nyayi di panggung... Aku yo grogi, soalnya jarang2 tampil di panggung sambil pukul-pukul drum (Ouch!!!), dan I juga bukan drummer. HAHAHA!!! Untung ada laptop (buat playback loop) dan monitor (headphone minjam sama Pak Gimbul), enak bisa dapat bantuan loop biar ngedrumnya stabil. Mas Wondo kayaknya cool-cool aja, soalnya dia punya banyak 'jam terbang'. Hehehe... Jadi ya cuma dia aja yang ndak grogi kali...
Waktu kita tampil, kita bawain 3 lagu. Yang pertama lagu andalah, "Kekasih Rahasia" (lagu ciptaan Mas Wondo). Sumprit cah, lagunya bagus, enak... (Pantes aja enak... Yen ra enak, mana bisa dia menang CILAPOP. Plus, karakter lagunya cocok banget buat KIKAN Coklat... HAHAHA!!!) Tapi sayang banget cing, mungkin karena lagu pertama, baru pemanasan, si Ulil grogi dan ada falesnya. Tapi OK lah karena setelah lagu pertama dibawain, banyak penonton yang tepuk tangan. Trus, lagu kedua, "Kuakhiri" (ciptaan Mas Markus), lumayan lebih enak dari lagu yang pertama, karena mungkin pemanasan kita udah bekerja lebih keras (maksudnya?! aku yo bingung ki karepe opok). Trus yang brikute lagu terakhir "Hanya Ingin" (Ciptaan Mas Wondo). Ting tong! Waktu kita ngebawain lagu itu, bisa lebih enak dari lagu pertama utowo kedua... Tapi sayang.... Aku ngedrume sempet meleset... Di bagian lagu pas break yang harusnya mandeg dilut... EEeeeK! Aku malah nuthuk Tom, dan asli ketahuan banget yen salah!. shauhsuahsuhauhsuhaushuahsua!!! Edun!!! Biariiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!! Cuih!!! ( :o ) Syukur aja abis kita kelar, aplausnya tetep meriah dan rame hehehe...
Dari hasil tampil di AMLW Seumur-umur baru waktu itu aku ngerasa koyo... anak SD utowo SMP yang pertama kali belajar ngeband dan awal-awalnya main band (Mungkin karena biasa manggung jadi vokalis ngerock dan bukan drummer pop, rasanya seperti anak kecil yang baru bisa ngedrum). Damn it lah! Yang penting fun :)
Well then... tentu aja kita ndak bakal lolos ke babak berikutnya... Soalnya band-band yang laen jauh lebih OK dari kita...
